Jaguar Warranty
Jaguar Warranty Review
Jaguar offer an extended warranty to owners that is relatively straightforward and easy to understand.
The warranty is an insurance policy, which is administered by Jaguar and underwritten by Motor Insurance Company. This falls under the jurisdiction of the Financial Services Agency (FSA).
Cover is available for cars with less than 100,000 miles on the clock are under ten years old. Cover can be purchased annually or on a monthly basis and is transferable.

Details of Jaguar Extended Car Warranty Cover
We advise considering the following points:
1.How do Jaguar define ‘wear and tear?'
Opinions on what constitutes ‘wear and tear' vary greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer and insurer to insurer, and it is excluded on Jaguar extended warranties.
2.In the warranty, it is stated that damage from ‘overloading or abnormal use' is not covered. Check to see if a viable definition of this can be had - i.e. is high mileage ‘abnormal use'?
3.In the warranty, it is stated that water ingress is not covered. Check to see whether an item damaged by water ingress, say an electrical module being damaged by a door seal leak, would be covered.
4.Exhaust systems are not mentioned. Check to see if premature corrosion would be considered.
5.The warranty states that ‘discoloration, alteration or deformation' of parts due to ‘normal ageing' would not be covered. Does this apply to interior trim? Particularly seats - check to see if premature wear of seat fabric would be covered.
We also advise making sure know the period you are likely to need the car to be covered for. This will affect the price of independent warranties that you may want to compare to the Jaguar warranty.
