Mercedes Extended Warranty Review
Mercedes-Benz warranties are available in three levels if you buy a warranty from a Mercedes dealer.
These are listed below, so you can read through the differences in cover, and compare them to the cover from independent warranty companies, before making a choice. You may find it easy to do this using our Mercedes Car Warranty Comparison Chart.
Mercedes extended warranty cover can be purchased monthly or annually and an excess is available which can reduce the cost of cover.
Many manufacturer extended warranties are backed by the car company, but the Mercedes-Benz warranty is backed by an insurance warranty, AGA International SA and is administered in the UK by Mondial Assistance (UK) Limited.
Key points to consider when comparing warranty quotes:
- As the Mercedes warranties are insurance warranties ask how claims are handled and how long it takes to get a claim paid. Insurance companies can take longer to payout than manufacturer-backed warranties.
- What period do you need cover for?
- This will affect the price of independent warranties who offer discounts for 2 and 3 year cover.
- This will affect the price of independent warranties who offer discounts for 2 and 3 year cover.
- How does Mercedes define ‘wear and tear’ and what will they therefore pay out on?
