In brief - BMW Warranty
Comprehensive cover is BMW's highest level of extended car warranty and covers the majority of mechanical and electrical components in your car (according to BMW).
Insured warranty (as it's called by BMW) can either be purchased annually or on an ongoing, monthly basis. If you choose the monthly cover option, the price is fixed for a 12 month period. You can also choose whether or not you wish to include an excess with extended warranty policy. This excess is only payable in the event of you making a claim, but including an excess in your policy can reduce the cost of your premium.
BMW's Comprehensive Insured Warranty is not available for vehicles with over 100,000 miles on the clock (at the time of purchasing the warranty).
Features And Benefits of BMW's Extended Warranty
According to the manufacturer, BMW's Comprehensive cover for car warranty provides the following features and benefits:
- Cover against defect for the majority of mechanical and electrical components of your BMW
- Components which are excluded from cover are specified in your policy
- Option to include BMW Insured Emergency Service
- Choice of annual or monthly cover
- Choice of excess levels - £0, £100 or £250
- Maximum claim limit is the purchase price paid for the vehicle (inclusive of VAT)
- Not available for vehicles with mileage over 100,000 miles (at the time of purchasing the warranty)

Does BMW Insured Warranty include any additional benefits?
Yes. A facility for UK roadside recovery only - Warranty Assist - is included with BMW Insured Warranty.
Please note that this service is limited to recovery to the nearest dealer within the UK only and is not a replacement for the full assistance services and benefits provided by BMW Insured Emergency Service at home, elsewhere or on the road in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Continental Europe. BMW Insured Emergency Service cover is available as an option with all BMW Insured Warranty policies.
What options are available for vehicles with mileage over 100,000?
If your vehicle has mileage of 100,000 miles or more, you can still take out a BMW DriveLine Insured Warranty policy.
